I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
